Throw a rocking Diwali party with Clappily!

Diwali is a grand affair in India and as the festival is nearing, we realize that there are so many things left to be planned. Diwali sees relatives and friends coming together and hosting parties at their houses. Now, we know the hassle that is hosting a good Diwali party and making arrangements for the same, to ensure your party is flawless. So, to make our lives a little bit simpler, here are a few tips that you can consider to make your party a success:
1. Gifting:
It’s a common practice during Diwali to give gifts to the people who come to your home. When you actually get down to it, the moving around and looking for gifts for every individual can be a tiring process. But what if we tell you that this entire process can be a lot fun and can be done from the comfort of your homes? Yes, you heard that right. Read on to know how.

      2. Chocolates:
No one can keep the kids (and a lot of adults too!) away from chocolates. Also, chocolates are the best way to make yourself popular among the kids. Indulge in something more personal this year by getting customized chocolates made instead of giving kids the same old store brought chocolates. There are a lot of vendors who can get customized chocolates made in a short span of time.  Get your family name or, if you’re feeling creative, the name of the event stamped onto the chocolates – that’s guaranteed to give a wow factor to your guests!
      3.  Snacks:
No festivity in India is complete without some scrumptious snacks! No one can keep themselves from indulging in a few sweets and snacks that are made especially for this occasion, even if it means gaining a few kilos! However, making all these snacks is not an easy task and you need to have a lot of patience and efforts to make enough for everyone. And serving cold snacks is as good as social suicide, isn’t it? But there is a simple way out of all of this. Intrigued? Read on to know more details!

      4. Bakery:
One way to make your party stand out from the rest is by adding pastries and cakes to the traditional sweets to your scrumptious Diwali menu. You can make them yourselves (which will be a long process) or you can get made to order cupcakes.

We know planning the perfect event is definitely not an easy task and you need to start planning and stay on top of things in advance. That is why we will be your knights in shining armor, at least when it comes to planning any event. With the launch of the Clappily customer app, you can find all of this easily on your phone! Glow Stick Party

Today, we’re going to dive into the topic a bit more and talk about a themed party and ideas you could adapt to make a cool party that everyone will remember. Today, we’re going to tell you how to host a Glow Stick Party! Let’s start:

1) Glow stick balloons: These little balloons will add a twist to the generic party prop. Slip in a glow stick into a balloon and blow it up to make it light up with a glowing color. Put these together in a bunch and you have an amazing prop to use in different parts of the room. You could even stick these balloons as a way to direct people to the bathroom or the party room. Want the bathroom? Just follow the green balloons!

2) Glow stick cutlery: These will give dinner a new, futuristic look with plates, spoons, and forks that glow! Use a connector and make a circle that sits on the plate. This will give you a touch of light on your food, just enough to see what you’re eating. To make sure your guests can see what they have on their cutlery, stick a glow stick onto the top of the handle of the spoon or fork. This will give it a good look too!

3) Glow stick drinks: No. Don’t put the glow stick in the drink. Take your cup or bottle and make a circular shape of the glow stick to add to the bottom of the container to make it pop it’s color out through the drink! Make sure the bottle or glass can stand on their own, though! It also doubles as a mini coaster!

4) Glow stick bowls: Have chips or snacks in glass bowls? We have two ideas for that! One is the same as the drinks, you could place a circular glow stick into the bottom of the bowl or under the bowl. That’s become boring now, hasn’t it? Well, try this on for size. Break open or cut open a glow stick or two and use the liquid inside and rub it on the outside of the glass bowl to give it a different type of glow that covers the bowl. Be careful, though! Use gloves and a brush to spread it! And don’t put it on the inside!

5) Glow stick props: Your guests can’t leave without some glow stick goodness! Make a few props with the glow sticks, like different colored glow stick bracelets for men and women, glow stick glasses for whoever wants it and even little tags with their names written in glow stick ink! The ink doesn’t glow long, though, so make sure you write their name as they enter!

6) Glow stick signs: Keep the party theme a secret and reveal it in a grand way! One a big chart paper, write “THEME:” and under that, write “Glow Sticks” with the glow stick liquid. They won’t be able to see it properly, so, you reveal the theme by switching off all the lights and letting them see it for themselves!

7) Glow stick masks: Make simple paper masks with small details drawn on it. Draw on top of these features and bring them out with either sticking glow sticks directly on it or brush some liquid on top of the details you’ve drawn. Make each mask different. You could even draw caricatures of your friends and give them masks to add a little fun twist to the party!

Please keep in mind, that while these ideas are fun, glow sticks are dangerous for little kids and the liquid in them is dangerous for humans. Please make sure you don’t get any on your hands or in consumables!
